Day 92 - July 31, 2010

AND THE WINNER IS...
This is my niece, Jaycee WINNING the Western Pleasure Team Driving event (I hope I got the name of the event right) at the Bonneville County Fair today. I had to include the close up so everyone could see the huge smile she had on her face. Great job Jaycee!!

Day 91 - July 30, 2010

EARLY MORNING HAZE
An early morning shot...the scene sort of reminded me of the pictures I've seen of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

July 29, 2010

Day 90 - July 29, 2010

JULY SUNSET
90 days without missing! I can hardly believe it. There was a beautiful sunset tonight...did some HDR and regular, but really liked the regular shot best this time, so here it is.

July 28, 2010

Day 89 - July 28, 2010

STORMY SUNSET
If you don't take a picture all day...and you wait long enough...and you're not afraid of a little rain...maybe something will work out for you. Not really sure if it worked out for me or not...but it's all I've got for today...

July 27, 2010

Day 88 - July 27, 2010

ROUGH DAY???
Duel was crashed like this when I got home from work and three hours later he has barely moved. Must have been a tough day at work...

Day 87 - July 26, 2010

HORSE FLY ON A LILLY
Found this big guy on the Lilly's in my front yard tonight...his eyes are huge!

July 25, 2010

Day 86 - July 26, 2010

SUNSET REFLECTION
Not my best ever, but we are irrigating and had a nice bit of water to work with...and it allowed me to delete the ridiculous picture I posted earlier!

Day 85 - July 24, 2010

Running!
Played around with a wide angle lens for awhile today. Nothing great but I had a lot of fun. I think you could do great things with one of these!

July 23, 2010

Day 84 - July 23, 2010

I know, this is a terrible shot, but I waited until almost 10 o'clock tonight and then messed around with my F-stop. At 1.8 it almost looks like daylight...but the shot would have been better if she had held her breath...

Day 83 - July 22, 2010

Wild Turkey anyone???
I've never gotten a decent shot of one of these. There were two Mom's and two Babies. I thought this one was pretty good. Also, have to include one of the owl brothers...I just love these guys!

July 21, 2010

Day 82 - July 21, 2010

Wow, 82 days in a row! Just shot around the yard tonight and really liked this head shot of Gus. The second picture isn't that great with the swing in the background but I thought it was really cute how Gus peeked around the tree just as I was snapping my shot of Grace.

July 20, 2010

Day 81 - July 20, 2010

SUNSET
Had a few shots to choose from tonight but just as I was getting ready to post I walked outside and saw a beautiful sunset. It was almost too dark to take a picture and I discovered when it's pretty dark out you cannot see everything through your view finder...had to crop out the stripe on the road and the power lines...but here is my HDR attempt for tonight.

July 19, 2010

Day 80 - July 19, 2010

CLEMATIS
My clematis is finally in bloom...problem is it has only one lonely blossom...I have no idea how to grow these things!

Day 79 - July 18, 2010

You'd think I could find something more interesting since we were camping this morning, but the day slipped away and all I got was Rosie and her boyfriend, T.

July 18, 2010

Day 78 - July 17, 2010

PASS CREEK LAKE
Just before dark Gary and I took a quick ride up to Pass Creek Lake. I thought this reflection shot turned out okay.

Day 77 - July 16, 2010

Tried a few different things tonight, liked how this shot of the moon turned out.

July 16, 2010

Day 76 - July 15, 2010

I know, more owls, but I just love them so much! In this one, little brother took over my mono pod and big brother was defending their new territory.

Day 75 - July 14, 2010

Wow, this was so cool to see! Yes, he was in a bad spot with a sign behind him. Yes, it is not the perfect shot! But a bird flew over and he puffed himself up soooo big, I just had to use this one.

July 13, 2010

Day 74 - July 13, 2010

There is a wildfire burning west of here...the wind has been gusting 55 mph - not good, but it did make for a blazing sunset tonight.

July 12, 2010

Day 73 - July 12, 2010

Found this handsome guy on my way home from work. He could barely fly in the wind and decided to hold onto this post for dear life.

July 11, 2010

Day 72 - July 11, 2010

Had this shot in my head for awhile and I'm going to have to try again but I think it looks okay for a first run...

Day 71 - July 10, 2010

I know this is a horrible photo. It is noisey and just plain bad but this is what happens when you forget to take a picture until 10:30 at night...

day 70 - July 9, 2010

Not sure if this is what I saw when I was going for this shot, but at least I'm practicing landscapes...

July 8, 2010

Day 69 - July 8, 2010

NEW FRIEND
Ben and Liz got a dog...hope that goes well! His name is Reggie and he's pretty cute for an ankle biter. We are just not used to such small critters around here.
Here are the babies of the family...Gus and Reggie...

July 7, 2010

July 4, 2010

Day 65 - July 4, 2010

JULY 4th
Happy 4th of July!!!!!!!!

Day 64 - July 3, 2010

ROSES
Just shot around the yard today. I love these yellow roses and they are in full bloom right now. Tried to blur the bud - should have dropped my f-stop a bit more...

Day 63 - July 2, 2010

SO SWEET
Not much going on today...Here's little Tex munching on some clover...

July 2, 2010

Day 62 - July 1, 2010

An Osprey in flight I got at Market Lake this afternoon.

Day 61 - June 30, 2010

Sunrise and Sunset...

Day 60 - June 29, 2010

Got this fawn early today at Market Lake...not the best picture but I'd never gotten a shot like this so I like it anyway.

Day 59 - June 28, 2010

Grace from above...
