My View

Day 101 / Year 2
08.09.11
I thought another "My View" post would be appropriate since I took a couple shots out my window last Tuesday, I thought I'd do it again today.
What a difference a week makes!

One of my Favorite Things

Day 100 / Year 2

One of my favorite things is backing out of the driveway the morning after we mow the lawn. I love it early in the morning when it is freshly trimmed.

Day 98 / Year 2
08.06.11
After finishing up tonight, a quick cab ride dropped me at The Stone Arch Bridge. There were several wedding parties having their picture taken in the area, but I climbed down near the river and took a few shots. The next shot is just upriver from the Stone Arch Bridge, St. Anthony Falls. After walking across the river I took these shots of The Old Mill Ruins. Very cool place! These shots would all have been better (including those from yesterday) if they'd been taken later after the city lights had come on but that wasn't possible so I had to settle for daylight.)

The City from Foshay Tower

Day 97 / Year 2
08.05.11
I walked to the Foshay Tower when I was done at the Convention Center tonight. It was built as a tribute to the Washington Monument in 1929 and was the tallest building in Minneapolis for many years. I paid the $8 and went to the observation deck on the 30th floor for some shots of the city. {NOTE: the shot of the Foshay Tower from the ground was actually taken on 08.06.11 but I felt it should be posted here since I forgot to get this shot on the 5th}

No Time to Shoot

Day 96 / Year 2
08.04.11
Today was the loooooong day at convention. There was no time to shoot. I got this shot of the ceiling of the convention center from the top of the elevator as I entered around 5:45 this morning. (My shot doesn't do it justice, it actually looks really cool.)

Melaleuca Truck

Day 95 / Year 2
08.03.11
Here is a shot of one of the Melaleuca Trucks that was displayed inside the product hall at convention.

My View

Day 94 / Year 2
08.02.11
Here are a couple of shots of the city taken from the window in my hotel room. I wouldn't want to live in the city, but I do enjoy lying in bed at night looking at the lights...

Happy Birthday Duel

Day 93 / Year 2
08.01.92
Today Duel turned 19...unbelievable!
I don't know where the years have gone.
After a crazy, rainy ride in the gravel pit, I talked the boys into a picture.
