The Last of Their Kind

Day 169 / Year 2
10.16.11
Found these little weeds that actually look like pretty flowers today. I'm sure with the cold nights we've been having they are the last of their kind for this year.

Ripe for the Pickin'

Day 168 / Year 2
10.15.11
These apples are ripe for the pickin'. Someone needs to get on that...

Rotation Time

Day 167 / Year 2
10.14.11
It was time for Gary to rotate my tires today. I took several shots that didn't really turn out the way I wanted them to so this will have to do.

Sunset Reflection

Day 166 / Year 2
10.13.11
I stopped at the river on the way to see the boys tonight and got this shot of the sunset reflected in the river.
(Yes, I missed day 165...we won't speak of it again...)

Storms a Brewin'

Day 164 / Year 2
10.11.11
There was a storm a brewin' on my way home tonight so I stopped and took a few shots of the clouds.

In need of some TLC

Day 163 / Year 2
10.10.11
This sign has been around as long as I can remember and it's starting to show its age. The Bonneville Hotel and Restaurant sign could sure use some TLC.

Harvest

Day 162 / Year 2
10.09.11
There are signs of harvest everywhere...

Meet Buddy

Day 161 / Year 2
10.8.11
Bart got a new horse recently and I met him today. He is a nice looking horse with cool blue eyes. Since Bart and Company didn't want their pictures taken, I've just included Buddy in this post.
We also had a nice sunset so here's a shot of that too.

Trivia

Day 160 / Year 2
10.07.11
A bit of trivia...I'm an avid morning news watcher. I watch the news for at least an hour every weekday morning. The other day they did a story about how one good thing about the down economy was that oil prices were dropping dramatically and then they interviewed a few people who had paid under $3 a gallon for gas. I thought that's great, can't wait to fill up next time. Well, today was "next time" and imagine my surprise when I found out that here in Idaho were a lot closer to paying $4 a gallon than under $3...hmmmmm...not really sure what's going on!

First Snow

Day 159 / Year 2
10.06.11
I heard it might snow in the higher elevations...apparently today we are in the higher elevations. When I saw it was snowing I ran out and took a shot of "the first snow of the season", when I went back to my office I said, out loud (big mistake), at least it's not sticking. When I left work...this was the scene...it's now sticking...and I had to brush two or three inches of snow off my car...

Sunrise and Clouds

Day 158 / Year 2
10.05.11
It is supposed to storm today, so I stopped on my way to work and took a few quick shots at the river. I liked how this one turned out.

"Handy" Pallets

Day 157 / Year 2
10.04.11
I found this stack of "handy" pallets today and thought they looked kind of cool.

Objects in the Rearview Mirror...

Day 156 / Year 2
10.03.11
Ugg...I've got to find something better to shoot...

Rainbow

Day 155 / Year 2
10.02.11
There was rainbow when I walked outside this morning. It's the only thing I shot all day.

Allie and Butterfly

Day 154 / Year 2
10.01.11
We had a family gathering at Mom and Dad's today and the Steltzer's brought the newest member of their family, Allie. She is such a sweety, but I'm not sure Mandy loved the ear biting. I also found this butterfly in Mom's flower garden.

GRRRRRRRR

Day 153 / Year 2
09.30.11
So all week long this car has taken my spot (it's not actually "my" spot, but I get it EVERY day so I consider it my spot). This week someone else was in my spot every morning and still there every night. I kept thinking he couldn't possibly be working longer hours than me every single day (I know who's car it is)...then today, I pulled in... the crapper car was in my spot...and it's owner pulled in in a rental car...WHAT???? Now I'm thinking if it's still there on Monday...I'm having it towed!

So Sweet

Day 152 / Year 2
09.29.11
Grace is so sweet. I just love her!

Messy Boy

Day 151 / Year 2
09.28.11
Wow...Gus is one messy boy! There is no more putting it off...this weekend...bath time!

"Cute" Graffiti

Day 150 / Year 2
09.27.11
Duel has taught me to look at and appreciate graffiti. I had to get a shot of this train car with it's cute summer bbq scene.

Beautiful Morning

Day 149 / Year 2
09.26.11
I woke to a beautiful sunrise today. Here it is.

Ben's Pony

Day 148 / Year 2
09.25.11
Ben came home for awhile today (he needed to borrow something)and I took a few random shots of his car.

Yellowstone Trip

Day 147 / Year 2
09.24.11
Rae, Jaycee and I went through Yellowstone today. We saw some really cool things like a wolf pack hunting pronghorn and a mountain goat, but they were all REALLY far away. It was a fun trip but not a good photo day. The best shot I got was this hawk...a bit disappointing since I can get a nice hawk shot from my back yard almost any day...but we still had a lot of fun. We also saw some really crazy things and the one I chose to post is the "Cruising Cowboy Chrome Chariot". We really needed shots from every angle but the guy looked sort of "odd" so I just got this one from the back.

What a Mess!

Day 146 / year 2
09.23.11
This is a terrible picture...I don't know how to make this mess look good, but I thought I should document what a HUGE mess this crab apple tree is making in our front yard. I've always loved this tree, knowing it grew from a seed from Dad and Mom's tree...but right now, I wonder if we should cut the messy thing down!

Garden Art

Day 145 / Year 2
09.22.11
I am not feeling creative and have been so busy at work I don't have time to look for anything to shoot at lunch so here is a shot of some of the "art" in our front garden.
