Day 235 - December 21, 2010

TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE
I was REALLY excited when I found out there would be a Total Lunar Eclipse tonight...then really disappointed when I saw the weather forecast showed it would be completely overcast here. I decided to stay up half the night anyway and here are the results. It would have been so much better without the clouds...but sometimes you just have to take what you can get.
By the way - The last time there was a Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse on the same night as the Winter Solstice it was 1638.
(Harvard University had just been founded, King Charles I reigned over England and Galileo had just lost his eyesight.)
